Getting the Most from Your Session
I want your time with me to be truly restorative - a genuine escape from the demands of everyday life. A little preparation goes a long way, and I've put together some simple, friendly guidance to help you settle in, let go, and carry that feeling of ease with you long after you leave.
Preparing for Your Visit
I want you to arrive feeling comfortable and ready to unwind. A few easy things to keep in mind beforehand:
Stay hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment - your body will thank you.
Hold off on shaving the day of your session to keep skin feeling happy and irritation free.
A fresh shower close to your appointment time is always a lovely idea, especially after outdoor activities or a workout, so the oils and creams we use can do their best work.
Give yourself a few extra minutes when you arrive to fill out any paperwork if needed. We'll also take a moment to chat about any health conditions or allergies before we begin - your safety and comfort always come first.
Settling In During Your Session
Everyone finds their own rhythm during a session, and there's truly no right or wrong way to receive bodywork. Some guests drift off to sleep almost immediately, while others take a little longer to ease into it - and both are completely perfect. Here are a few gentle suggestions if you'd like them:
Follow your breath - simply noticing the rise and fall of each inhale and exhale can quiet a busy mind beautifully.
Let the music carry you - allow the ambient sounds to wash over you and guide you into a softer state.
Feel free to chat - if your mind is buzzing and you feel like talking, please do! Sometimes the most relaxing thing is simply letting your thoughts flow freely.
Speak up anytime - your comfort is everything to me. If the pressure feels too deep, the room temperature isn't quite right, or you'd prefer different music, just say the word. You should never feel like you have to "push through" anything - this time is entirely yours!
Caring for Yourself Afterward
The benefits of your session can linger beautifully with just a little TLC:
Drink plenty of water to help your body continue to release and restore.
Try any stretches or tips that have been suggested - these little practices between sessions make a wonderful difference.
Take it gently for a couple of hours afterward and simply enjoy the stillness.
Come back regularly - consistent care is one of the kindest gifts you can give yourself.
Finding Your Rhythm of Care
Everyone's needs are beautifully different. As a general guide:
Relief/Acute Care is recommended 1-2 times per week can bring meaningful, noticeable change.
Corrective Care - every 7-14 days supports the deeper work of releasing tension and restoring ease.
Maintenance & Wellness - every 3–5 weeks helps you stay ahead of stress and keep your body feeling its best.
Above all, trust yourself. You know your body and your life better than anyone. I'm simply here to support you.
