Types of Treatment (Modalities)
Swedish/Esalen-style relaxation
Sometimes the most healing thing is simply to slow down. This longer, flowing style of Esalen Swedish massage is less a treatment and more of an inward journey - an invitation for your body and mind to find their natural rhythm again. Through unhurried movements, long strokes, and intentional pauses, you're guided gently back to yourself. Aromatherapy and Structural Relief Therapy are woven in as needed, and regular sessions are a wonderful way to stay ahead of stress before it takes hold.

Structural Relief Therapy (SRT)
If you've been living with chronic pain or limited movement, SRT may be one of the most welcome discoveries you'll make. Rather than pushing deeper into the tension, this gentle technique works with your body - gently repositioning and holding to help overworked muscles finally let go. By calmly interrupting the pain signals between your muscles and brain, SRT helps restore ease and range of motion, often in the very first session. It's been found effective for conditions like sciatica, low back pain, shoulder discomfort, carpal tunnel, knee pain, and plantar fasciitis - and it tends to feel like a position of ease & comfortable in the process.
Therapy blend of modalities
For those who crave something more thorough, this session is for you. I'll either work through the whole body or focus on the areas calling for the most attention - using a rich variety of techniques/tools including cupping, bamboo, gua sha, and electro-mechanical tools alongside passive stretching and structural integration. The goal is to help you feel freer, stronger, and more at home in your body. Aromatherapy and SRT are included as needed, and the best results come with regular, ongoing care.

Cupping is an ancient wisdom with modern results.
You may have noticed the circular marks on Olympic athletes or celebrities in recent years - that's cupping, and it's having a well-deserved moment. But cupping is far from new. Hippocrates himself championed both massage and cupping, and doctors used cupping sets routinely up through the early 1900s. It's never stopped being practiced across Asia and Eastern Europe, and now it's finding its way back into Western bodywork - for good reason. When combined with massage, a technique called MediCupping or Vacutherapy uses a gently moving cup to lift soft tissue rather than compress it. The result is deeply relaxing and surprisingly effective: reduced inflammation, improved lymph and blood flow, nourished tissue, and relief for both acute and chronic conditions.

Vacutherapy allows for more control and is intended to be non-invasive with the use of this special machine!
Vacutherapy is a form of cupping in which the "cup" is constantly moving across the skin of the client, lifting the soft tissue and fascia as opposed to pushing or pressing. Vacutherapy is a pleasant, gentle, and non-invasive technique that achieves powerful results. Vacutherapy continues to evolve as new equipment is located and creative applications are discovered. These techniques relieve inflammation, sedate the nervous system, move stagnant lymph and blood, hydrate and nourish tissue, shift tissue PH, and can be used on acute and chronic conditions for all ages! Routine therapeutic sessions are encouraged!

Review by Amy Hendricks
Christina is a gifted and caring therapist. She intuitively finds areas of tension and works wonders to relax and loosen them. She also uses cupping and vacutherapy which really help to reach a wider area and get deeper into the tissue. I always feel so much better after a session!
